Lavatera maritima - Tree Mallow

Market price from $42.50 to $68.99

Lavatera maritima is an exotic, robust shrub, commonly known as the Tree Mallow. Hailing from the balmy Mediterranean, this spectacular evergreen showcases lustrous grey-green, palmate leaves crowned with a profusion of hibiscus-like, blush pink flowers that splatter darker veins, creating a stunning visual display from summer to fall. Surprisingly low-maintenance, the Tree Mallow gracefully reaches heights of up to 6 feet and flourishes in tough conditions. From basking in the full sun to withstanding harsh, windy sea-spray, and thriving in poor, dry soils, it is a rewarding choice for seaside gardens or as a striking centerpiece in mixed borders. With its rich color palette, alluring blossoms attracting a variety of pollinators, and resilience against heat and drought, the Tree Mallow is an ideal blend of visual appeal and hardiness, making it a beloved selection for those looking to inject some Mediterranean charm into their landscapes.
